Terms of Service
Last updated: May 2026
1. Acceptance
By using DocDr ("the Service"), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
2. Description
DocDr reads pull request diffs from repositories you connect, uses an AI model to generate Markdown documentation updates, and opens Draft PRs in your repository for human review. DocDr never pushes directly to your default branch. All documentation changes require your explicit approval before merging.
3. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old and authorized to use the GitHub account and repositories you connect to the Service.
4. Subscription and billing
DocDr charges $19/month via Polar.sh. Polar acts as merchant of record and handles payment processing, tax collection, and receipts. Your subscription includes 100 PR events per calendar month. Bootstrap runs (initial documentation generation) count as 5 events. Usage beyond the quota is blocked until the next billing cycle.
5. GitHub access
You grant DocDr read access to repository contents and pull request diffs, and write access limited to: committing the DocDr GitHub Actions workflow file, setting the DOCDR_LICENSE_KEY Actions secret, creating branches named ai-docs-*, and opening Draft PRs. DocDr does not access repositories you have not explicitly connected.
6. AI-generated content
Documentation updates are generated by an AI model and may contain errors. You are responsible for reviewing all Draft PRs before merging. DocDr makes no warranty about the accuracy, completeness, or fitness of AI-generated documentation.
7. Acceptable use
You agree not to use the Service to process repositories containing unlawful content, to circumvent usage limits, or to reverse-engineer the Service. You are responsible for the repositories you connect and the content within them.
8. Termination
You may cancel your subscription at any time via Polar.sh. Access continues until the end of the paid period. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.
9. Disclaimer of warranties
The Service is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that AI-generated content will be accurate.
10. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, DocDr's total liability for any claim arising from use of the Service is limited to the amount you paid in the 30 days preceding the claim.
11. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance. Material changes will be communicated via email.
